iPhone Software Update 2.1 is Just a Bug Fix, But The New iPod's Are Cool.

Apple have announced iPhone Software Update 2.1.

Available for download on Friday, along with a fresh new range of iPod's,

Attended by loads of media & die hard mac fanatics, the 'Lets Rock' event in San Francisco mainly focused on the new range of iPods. A skinny and gauntly Steve Jobs confirmed he wasn't dead(!), but alive and well, and that the rumors of his death were 'greatly exaggerated'.

So whats new in the iPhone Software Update 2.1?

Ermm... Not much!

Apparently, it's designed to 'fix a lot of bugs'. Steve Jobs quoted the following:

"This is a big update, it fixes lots of bugs. Fewer dropped calls, big
battery life improvements. No crashes with Apps. Backing up is faster."

Hmm... guess we'll have to see on Friday what the software update holds.

The new range of iPod's was much more exciting.

Notables include:

* A new 8GB & 16GB Nano, with some fancy new Colours, Rotating Screen & 'Thin' Body.

* Redesigned iPod Touch with Software Update 2.1 including new bunch of features.

* Hundred of 'Games' released for iPod Touch.

* 120GB iPod Classic
