Pre-Paid Australian 3G iPhone Cost - RELEASED BY OPTUS!

Well folks, exciting times. Optus have released their plan offers & outright pre-paid pricing for the new 3G iPhone.

They have a plethora of caps available on the 24 month contract, you're best checking the details out for yourself.

We're happy to say, our predictions were close for the prepaid cost of the 3G iPhone. $749 is the price you'll pay for the 8GB 3G iPhone, & the tidy sum of $849 for the 16GB 3G iPhone - without a contract. Even better news is that it'll be UNLOCKED! Happy Times.

BUT! (& this is a big BUT), you better watch your data usage - extra data over the allowance given in the plan will cost you 35 cents a MB - thats a whopping $350 bucks per GB! - easy to do with an iPhone. We suspect after the iPhone is released, they'll be quite a few unexpected EXPENSIVE phone bills.

Our Advice - SAVE YOUR $$$ and buy one outright, either on prepaid, or via our store!
